ResumAI LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates Resumai at resumai.biz. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: Your email address, collected when you sign in via Clerk.
• Content you submit: Resume text and job descriptions you paste or upload while using the service. This content is sent to Anthropic's API to generate analysis results and is not stored on our servers after your session ends.
• Payment information: Handled entirely by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID — we never see or store your card details.
• Usage data: Aggregate data such as API call counts and error rates, used to monitor service health. This is not linked to individual users in our logs.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Resumai service
• To process subscription payments and manage your plan
• To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
• To respond to support requests you send us

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your resume content to train AI models.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate Resumai:

• Clerk — user authentication and session management
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
• Anthropic — AI analysis of resume and job description content
• Neon — database (stores your email/plan status, not resume content)
• Upstash — rate limiting (stores anonymous usage counters)
• Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure

Each service has its own privacy policy governing their data practices.

4. Cookies

We use a session cookie set by Clerk to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

5. Data Retention

Account information (email, plan status) is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@resumai.biz. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

Resumai is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
